На этот раз гуляем по Остоженке.
This time — Ostozhenka street.
We’d like to invite you to join our tour this Sunday at 6.30 pm.
We will meet at the metro station Park Kultury in the center of the hall and finish near Kropotkinskaya.
This week we’ll be walking through Ostozhenka street. You’ll learn why this street is called the Golden Mile of Moscow, as well as interesting facts about building heights, traffic jams, conspiracy theories, the origin of the word “slacker”, and the first spa resort in the Russian empire.
We’ll also see where some famous Muscovites, including the likes of Arina Sharapova, Cyprus Bulychev, and reality show “Polyglot” host Dmitri Petrov studied.
We’ll also look over the fence at the Foreign Intelligence Service (but won’t get too close).
